Wrestlers
98 North Road,Highgate,
N6 4AA
Although this is neither a listed building nor one of London’s Real Heritage Pubs it has retained its solid wooden wall panelling, bar counter and bar-back but the clock in the bar-back with yelling heads looks more modern. The pub was allegedly first built in 1547 but rebuilt in 1921.
The Wrestlers featured on the Highways, Archways and Tramways: Daytime Crawl of Highgate, Archway and Kentish Town in June 2010, and the From Wrestling to Assembling: Evening Crawl of Highgate and Kentish Town in August 2015.
