Railway Tavern

The Railway Tavern
23 Crouch End Hill
Crouch End
N8 8DH

This pub is not a listed building but it is mentioned as a "try-also" in the Regional Inventory.

The Railway Tavern is a 1936 brewers' Tudor pub. Whilst the original internal divisions in the pub have been removed, the separate drinking areas are discernable. A number of original features deserve attention such as the counter, bar-back, much of the wall-panelling and a smashing inglenook fireplace.

In terms of more recent features, the side elevation of the pub includes a coloured mosaic made in 2010 by Tessa Hunkin.

The Railway Tavern features on LPGs' Daytime Crawl of Hornsey, Crouch End, Crouch Hill and Harringay of February 2014.
