Canterbury Arms

The Canterbury Arms
8 Canterbury Crescent
Brixton
SW9 7QD

The Canterbury Arms has a number of interesting interior features, although some of them are not so obvious.

One of the easier to spot features is the Victorian servery with a glazed-in office. Beside the servery is a glazed-in staircase, a rare pub feature.

The corridor which leads to the ladies toilets features multicoloured tiled walls and mosaic floor.

Whilst the wood panelling in the public bar is modern, the bar-back in the lounge at the rear of the pub is Victorian.

The function room has a false ceiling. If you look through gaps in the skylight, you can, however, see the original ceiling which includes plaster cornices which are well worth seeing.
