Hollywood Arms

The Hollywood Arms
45 Hollywood Rd
West Brompton
SW10 9HX

The Hollywood Arms is a grade II listed Gothic style building, built in 1865 in the manner of Redcliffe Square.

The pub has three storeys. The ground floor is stuccoed and features rusticated arches. Above is unusual cast iron balcony with the upper storeys mostly yellow brick and featuring pointed relieving arches over the windows.

The name of the pub 'Hollywood Arms' is proudly inscribed on the pediment and the exterior also features acid etched glass on a holly theme.

Youngs acquired and 'refurbished' the pub a few years ago, painting over the lovely dark Gothic wooden bar counter and replacing the perfectly adequate pub furniture with 'trendy' soft-furnished sofas, banquettes and chairs - what a shame. At least there is some etched and cut glass left at the front of the pub.

The Hollywood Arms features on LPGs' Daytime Crawl of Earls Court, West Brompton, Fulham and Hammersmith of October 2013.
