Landor

The Landor
70 Landor Road
Stockwell
SW9 9PH

This pub is not a listed building, but it is on the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Local Inventory as having an interior of Local Historic Interest, and the description is as follows: "This pub has been comprehensively opened but does retain one particularly fine late Victorian feature - the elaborate bar back. This has a series of round arches framing etched mirrors and also has a decorated coved cornice, bronze-coloured and embellished by embossed floral decoration. Above all this the bar back is topped by a series of broken pediments (and has a modern clock). The original counter remains but in c.1970s it was re-fronted. You can go around the the back and view the bar back fitting and its tiny hatch for service to the rear room."
