1. Junction

Arrive: 7.00 PM

Address: The Junction, 36 St Johns Hill, Battersea, SW11 1SA.

Real ales: Greene King Abbot and IPA; plus three changing guest ales (often including ones from London microbreweries such as Portobello, Sambrooks, Signal and Wimbledon) are normally served here.

Directions to next pub: You may wish, as a ‘try-also’, to cross over Wandsworth High Street to visit the Ram Inn, the former Ram Brewery Tap, which reopened on 10 October 2019 after many years of closure, and the adjacent new Ram Brewery Quarter. Historic buildings retained during the redevelopment of the Youngs Brewery site include the Brewer’s House, the main brewery buildings (into which Sambrooks are due to relocate) and the stable block (occupied by John Hatch’s nanobrewery). Otherwise, retrace your steps to bus stop P (called Wandsworth Town Hall) and catch a 39 or 156 bus to stop M (called Park Tavern). Alight from the bus, turn right and walk along Merton Road to the zebra crossing. Cross over Merton Road, turn right again and cross over West Hill to

Directions to next pub: On leaving the pub, retrace your steps to bus stop M (called Park Tavern) and catch a 156 bus to stop R (called Penwith Road). Alight from the bus, turn right and continue along Merton Road to the junction with Penwith Road. Turn left and walk along Penwith Road to the junction with Garratt Lane. Cross over Penwith Road via the pelican crossing and continue walking along Garratt Lane to the junction with Thornsett Road.
