Like the Heron, this pub is neither a listed building nor on CAMRA’s Inventory but it is included on the tour because it was refurbished just over a year ago and renamed so its interior design is of interest. It is also in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2024. The new, vibrant interior also includes breweriana signs such as ‘Draught Bass’, ‘Allsopp’s Pale Ale in Bottle’, ‘Whitbread’ and ‘Worthington’. CAMRA’s WhatPub’s description is as follows: “This former bank and later wine bar at the base of a block of flats, has been refurbished in an elegant manner that fuses old and new with a beautiful wooden bar, antique lighting, with banquettes, booths and tables, albeit decorated with old brewery signs. Large glass windows afford a view of the busy area around Paddington railway station.”
