Like the Black Prince, this pub is not a listed building but it is an attractive red-brick pub of 1901 with a fairly traditional interior.

The Prince of Wales featured on the Daytime Crawl of Lambeth and Kennington in February 2006, and the Princes' Progress: Evening Crawl of Kennington, Elephant & Castle, and Borough in August 2012.
