Although this pub is not a listed building, it is on the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Local Inventory with an interior of local historic interest. Pevsner’s Buildings of England says of it “An unusually painstaking essay in the half-timbered jolly-good-ale manner. 1933 by Cecil M Quilter.”
