Forest Hill Tavern
108 Forest Hill Road,East Dulwich,
SE22 0RS
Although this pub is not one of London’s Real Heritage Pubs it has remnants of one of Truman’s many 1930s schemes. Things to look out for are the superb black glass advertising sign in the right-hand corridor, a lovely inglenook fireplace and the white Vitrolite panelled ceiling. If you want to have lunch you can either eat here or at the next pub, the Herne Tavern.
The Forest Hill Tavern featured on the The Beautiful South: Daytime Crawl of Outer South East London in October 2011.
