This pub in a charming setting has recently been tastefully refurbished. It makes a convenient lunch stop on the way to the next pub on the crawl. Alternatively you may wish to have lunch at the Wetherspoon’s pub, the Moon Under Water, 116-117, Chase Side which is in CAMRA’s 2011 Good Beer Guide and is also on the way to the next pub on the crawl. It has a good selection of real ales as well as reasonably priced food.
