Cock & Dragon

14 Chalk Lane,
Cockfosters,
EN4 9HU

Although this pub is neither a listed building nor one of London’s Real Heritage Pubs it is in CAMRA’s 2011 Good Beer Guide and is described by Pevsner as “a characteristic 1930s roadhouse by J C F James for Benskins”. It has a distinctive green pantile roof and clock tower. Inside is an eclectic mix of baronial and (more recent) Thai-styled décor.

The Cock & Dragon featured on the A King, a Jester and a Bishop: Daytime Crawl of Enfield, Cockfosters and Barnet in February 2011.
