Scolt Head

107a Culford Road,
Dalston,
N1 4HT

Like the Jolly Butchers and the Duke of Wellington, this pub is neither a listed building nor one of London’s Real Heritage Pubs but there are remnants of its original interior fittings which include the woodwork of the bar-back (don’t be fooled, though, by the modern clock face, lettering and mirrors), and the inter-war stained glass windows.

The Scolt Head featured on the Going South in the North: Daytime Crawl from Stoke Newington to Hoxton in August 2010.
