Lord Clyde

340-2 Essex Road,
Canonbury,
N1 3PB

Like the Jolly Butchers, the Duke of Wellington and the Scolt Head, this pub is neither a listed building nor one of London’s Real Heritage Pubs. It is a Victorian pub, refitted between the wars, opened up but retaining a separate public bar, copious wooden wall panelling, door lobbies, good fireplace and servery.

The Lord Clyde featured on the Going South in the North: Daytime Crawl from Stoke Newington to Hoxton in August 2010.
