Tapping the Admiral
77 Castle RdCamden Town
NW1 8SU
This pub closed in the early 2000s but was restored and reopened in 2011. It is locally listed and the description is as follows: “Mid 19th century public house on corner site at junction of Castle Street (sic) and Hadley Street. Important landmark building in the location where many roads meet and the railway viaduct dissects views. The area has a strong Victorian character despite many terraces having been replaced with later terraces; this building serves as a lynch pin to tie the surrounding streets together. Simple and restrained design with more decoration to the shopfront - applied pilasters and dentil cornice to the corner entrance bay.”
