Although this pub is not a listed building nor on CAMRA’s London Regional Inventory it is an imposing former Courage canalside pub which has been taken over by the owners of the Hack and Hop (Whitefriars Street EC4), the Dean Swift (Shad Thames SE1) and the Red Cow (Smithfield EC1). It is still a traditional locals’ pub of a kind fast disappearing in the area.
