Like the Twelve Pins, this is not a listed building but it is a large, street-corner Victorian pub, thoroughly modernised but retaining an impressive former billiard room, accessed through a fine etched and gilded glass doorway. This room has a magnificent Jacobethan ceiling (it is a shame that the skylight is now covered) and a good wooden fireplace. In the right-hand room of the main pub area, note the rather ornate frieze.
