This two-roomed pub is not a listed building and it is not on CAMRA’s Regional Inventory but although its interior is of no great interest, it is a remarkable survivor and a perennial entry for several decades in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide. The pub has also featured in the recently published book London Pub Cats by Vicky Lane and Tim White and if you are lucky you may meet Lenny the cat, usually to be found snoozing on a chair in the right-hand room.

The Pride of Spitalfields featured on the Daytime Crawl of SW Essex and E London in June 2006, and the East End Survivors: Evening Crawl of Bethnal Green, Shoreditch and Spitalfields in December 2017.
