Shinner & Sudtone
67 High StreetSutton
SM1 1DT
Like the Railway and the Plough, although this pub is not a listed building and is a former Scruffy Murphys decorated in typical Antic Pub Company style, alongside the junk shop furnishings it has the remains of a mosaic tiled floor. The Shinner part of the pub’s name is a reference to a department store whose premises on Hill Road are now occupied by All Bar One and the Moon on the Hill.
The Shinner & Sudtone featured on the Super Suburbia, a Wealth of Styles and Periods: Daytime Crawl of Cheam, Sutton and Carshalton on 24 February 2018.
