The Atlas is one of London's Real Heritage Pubs and is on CAMRA's London Regional Inventory of Pub Interiors of Special Historic Interest.

The Atlas was originally built in 1868 but needed re-fitting in the Twentieth Century after being struck by a bomb during World War II. Similar to The Fox and Pheasant nearby, The Atlas is another great example of an inter-war pub interior.

The pub will have onced featured a screen separating the main rooms inside the pub, with the public bar still marked as such on the door. These days the screen is noticeable by the glazing above which the screen would have been.

The bar counter is matchboarded and also features Art Deco panelling with a rounded corner. Look out for the black and white square tiling of the spittoon around the edge of the bar counter. The seating and the brick fire surrounds also date from the 1930s, with one of the mirrors bearing the lettering 'Truman's', the major brewer that owned the pub at the time.

The Atlas featured on the Choosy Cat and the True Sea Dog: Evening Crawl of Fulham and Hammersmith in August 2010, and the Billing and Cooing: Daytime Crawl of Earls Court, West Brompton, Fulham and Hammersmith in October 2013.
