Hoop and Grapes
The Hoop and Grapes47 Aldgate High Street
Aldgate
EC3N 1AL
This pub is a grade II* listed building and is thought to date from the late 17th Century.
This slim timber framed type of building was once common but is now rare. The ground floor features sash windows, a pentice roof and two carved posts at the pub's entrance.
Although modernised, this pub's interior retains a modicum of olde worlde charm.
The Hoop and Grapes features on LPGs' Evening Crawl of Aldgate, Whitechapel and Bethnal Green of December 2013.
