This pub is the Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA) West Middlesex Branch's Pub of the Year.

It is a mid-19th-century grade II listed building opposite the town pump and St Margaret's Church. Although modernised inside, the pub retains its beamed ceiling, sash windows and fireplace.
