Although this pub is not a listed building, it is a good place to start the tour as it is in the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide 2023. Although opened out inside, it has a good tiled exterior.

This pub is the official lunch stop but reasonably priced food is also served at the next pub on the tour, the William the Fourth.
