Royal Oak

The Royal Oak (Polly Clean Stairs)
66 Mount Road
Bexleyheath
DA6 8JS

This pub’s nickname refers to a former landlady who was house proud. The building is grade II listed and dates back to the Nineteenth Century.

The pub was apparently once the Upton Village Stores. The interior looks as if it is post-war.

The Royal Oak featured on the Never Bored of Weatherboards: Daytime Crawl of Bexley, Bexleyheath, Welling and Shooters Hill in February 2015.
