Door Hinge

The Door Hinge
11 High Street
Welling
DA16 1TR

Although not a listed building, this pub is the first London example of the micropub concept which was pioneered in Thanet. It was converted from a former electrical wholesalers in 2013 and has gone on to become CAMRA’s Greater London Regional Pub of the Year 2014. Obviously there are no traditional pub furnishings but you will find good beer and friendly company.

NB: as this is such a small pub you may wish to visit the next pub on the crawl first (two or three doors away) so as to minimise congestion. The Door Hinge does have a small quiet room beyond the door marked “Toilets” but please be quiet if you use it so as not to disturb the upstairs residents.

The Door Hinge featured on the Never Bored of Weatherboards: Daytime Crawl of Bexley, Bexleyheath, Welling and Shooters Hill in February 2015.
