Like the Coach & Horses, Bruton Street, this pub is neither a listed building nor one of London’s Real Heritage Pubs. However, it has many similarities to the Coach & Horses and is very likely to have also been designed by Quilter, probably in 1934. His trademarks can be seen here: the half-timbered, mock-Tudor exterior; the grape-and-vine-leaves cornices; the Tudor arch details (eg the fire surround and doorways); and the leaded windows.
