This pub is not only a grade II listed building, it is also on the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Local Inventory with an interior of local historic interest. The listing description is as follows: "Probably late C17, much altered. 3 storeys plus dormers in tiled roof. 2 windows. Recessed frontage obscured by lower, later building of no interest. Rear to St Bride's Avenue stuccoed with simple, pilastered shop front and parapet to roof."
