This pub is not only a grade II listed building, it is also on the Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Local Inventory with an interior of local historic interest.
The listing description is as follows: "1836. Part of unified market composition. 3 storeys. 3 windows on College Approach, 3 on rounded West angle and one facing Greenwich Church Street. Stucco with entablature and blocking course concealing roof except for slated part of higher pitch over left bay. Rusticated quoins to bays flanking rounded angle Moulded architraves to replaced sash windows with glazing bars, those in 1st floor of flanking bays having pulvinated frieze, console bracketed cornice and pediment, also raised panel below. Modern tiled public house front on ground floor.
The listed buildings on the South Side of College Approach form a group with Nos 37 and 37A King William Walk."
